Diary of a Worm

"March 29
Today I tried to teach Spider how to dig.  First of all his legs got stuck.  Then he swallowed a bunch of dirt. Tomorrow he's going to teach me to walk upside down.

March 30
Worms cannot walk upside down."
Get a worms-eye view of the world and find out some of the ups and downs of being a worm in this silly journal story.

Why I Love It

I love how the words and the pictures in this story add up to something even more fun than either alone.  Don't forget to check out the scrapbook style pages at the front and back of the book.

Talking Points

  • This is a fantasy story about a worm.  That means that it is not real.  What kind of things would you find in an informational book about worms?
  • What would you write in your journal about your day today?  Can you keep a journal of the important things that happen to you for a whole week?
